Bindu — Sanskrit for particle, drop, and beginning
Visesakachhedya — the art of painting the forehead
For your office day, coffee run, or any morning
Our Story
Long before it became a festival staple or a bridal ritual, the bindi was a daily practice. The ancient Indian name for it is Visesakachhedya — the art of painting the forehead. From intricate Alpana lines framing a Bengali bride's brow to the curved Chandrakor crescent of Maharashtra, it was a medium of self-expression.
And here is the irony: we live at 1.5x speed, yet the art of the hand-drawn bindi — which takes just 60 to 90 seconds — is slowly fading. So we built this.
Sanskrit Roots
A bindu is Sanskrit for particle, for drop, for point of origin. Placed at the Ajna Chakra — the seat of intuition, energy, and the unseen eye.
The Tradition
This is Indian culture at its most concentrated — artistry, aura, and self-expression distilled into a single mark.
